a few quick things- finally added music to the site as thats been a long time coming.  It really only took about 5 minutes so I only have my own laziness to blame for that.  I am still tracking the new record over at Karmic Music in Brighton, and its coming along extremely well!  Very excited for that.  The songs have been molding themselves into an entirely different sound then when I first envisioned while writing them, and I wouldn't have it any other way.  And lastly, we are playing a show tonight at Harpers Ferry with April Smith and Ian Axel, both from NY.  Come out if you havent seen us yet!  It will definitely be a good time.  Soon to come to the site - the long promised tabs and lyrics.

for the select few out there who care to read this -

so i've recently been extremely busy hashing out the new ep with my good friend tom meunier.  if you've seen us live in boston, tom plays lead guitar (and does so with authority, i might add).  things are coming along very well, and i could not be more excited to show people what i've been doing.  but, alas, recording is an all too slow process, especially with so many other commitments in life.  so i guess patience is a virtue for a reason.  we recently finished tracking drums with mike levesque (www.mikelevesque.com).  check out that resume if you get the chance - having him play drums for me was an honor and a privilege and he absolutely tore it up.  we should be wrapping up some bass parts by the middle of this week, and laying down some guitars at the end of this week/beginning of next week.  all in all this will turn out much 'bigger' than my past projects, and i couldn't be happier.  until next time!

so, tonight is the big night i start laying down tracks in the studio for the next album!  i am extremely excited for it, and i think you guys will really dig the new stuff.  its going to be a bit more expansive than my stuff in the past, with full band and maybe more.  but dont worry, there will definitely still be some of that bare bones acoustic style that i had on the first album too.  i am super stoked to get this out so people can hear what i've been writing, cause i feel like its been forever since people have heard anything new (unless, of course, you've been to a show)!  well, thats all for now, studio updates abound will follow, im sure.  peace!

Hello everyone!  Just a quick little update for you on this gorgeous weekend.  Some moves are being made here from the tsog camp and things are just starting to pick up.  It shall be an exciting/fun/stressful/busy couple months coming up, but I wouldn't have it any other way.  Still shopping around studios in the Boston area, so if you know of something drop me a line!  Tonight I will be playing at All Asia with a full backing band, so if your in or around the cambridge area come out and support.  I will also be playing TT the Bears on the September 1, which also guarantees to be a good time.

 so if you checked out myspace.com/thesoundofgrowingup at all, you'll see that i put a few tabs/lyrics up on there for some of the songs.  well, as soon as i re-become not lazy (not sure if that made sense, but you get it right?), i'll get around to posting lyrics and tabs for all of my songs here, on the real website.  this way its kind of a reward to all of you who make it this far and go through the effort to learn a little bit more about me and my boring life.  its been raining all week here in ny, so i hope wherever you are its much nicer.  songs are coming along as well.  until next time!

 went out to boston yesterday to check out apartments, which turned out pretty sweet.  definitely met some people who would be cool to live with, so hopefully everything works out.  i just got a new macbook, and i am currently trying to teach myself how to use logic.  anyone out there know anything??  its pretty different from protools from what i've seen so far.  saw the hangover the other day, and that movie was fuckin hilarious.  go see it!!  especially stay for the credits.  too funny.  and i've also been obsessed with kung fu panda recently, due to me being home watching hbo nonstop.  some more updates coming to the site soon!

Hello out there!  Beautiful day here in NY.  Just a little update on the recordings and such.  I just recently found out that I have to move to Boston earlier than expected, which will cut into any studio time I have here in NY.  Which kind of sucks, since I already had the studio picked out and know the producer/engineer.  So in the mean time I'm going to continue busting out demos at home and hopefully find a decent place to record in Boston.  Any ideas anybody?  I'll be moving up there at the beginning of July, so anyone in Boston should come hang at a show sometime.  Kind of random, but I just finished shoveling like 2 acres of mulch out of my parents driveway.  It was the worst.  It also smells bad.  And because of that, I now in fact smell bad.  So its time for a shower, which I probably should've just done before I sat down to write this blog.  Peace!

hey guys...sorry i haven't been updating this thing pretty much at all. and you know what? i can't even claim to have been super busy. cause im really not. so why lie? im just lazy as shit. but from now on im going to try and make this website actually bearable for the people who do make the effort to check it out, something worth their while. as for the music, right now im currently in the pre-process of recording my second EP- this means finishing writing up songs and demoing stuff before i head into the studio. overall i am pretty psyched about it. thanks for listening, you guys rock!
